Description

The Problem

Makeba Money had am inefficient. long winded and labour intensive sign up process for a user to open up a business account.

The Solution

I re-looked at the sign up and on-boarding process currently in place and re-imagined the user journey’s to create the most direct line from entry point to exit.

Role & Responsibility

As Creative Director and sole designer on this project, I was responsible for the entire UX process as well as the  user interface design. I created user personas based on the various types of business accounts and business types. After research I sketched ideas and created wire-frames of varying fidelity. I created prototypes and defined the UX guidelines and presented to stakeholder, users and developers. I performed usability tests to evaluate and identify improvements.

Outcome

A focus on user-centricity, the sign up and on-boarding of new business accounts was slick and streamlined, offering the user feedback at every touch-point. I designed a set of email and SMS alerts for the user, as well as in app messages keeping the user in the loop at all times on the status of their account creation.
